Dominik Mysterio has shared his thoughts on The Undertaker’s booking of AAA since the WWE acquisition took place last year.
WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker, under his real name Mark Calaway, is credited as an executive producer of AAA weekly and is largely pointed to as the lead creative mind behind the show, though Jeremy Borash is said to play a major part as well.
AAA Mega Champion has now shared his thoughts on Taker’s work in the position, saying that it’s not a surprise to anybody that the seven-time WWE World Champion is as successful as he’s been with AAA so far.
On the Ariel Helwani Show, Mysterio said:
“I don’t think there is any explaining to it. At the end of the day it’s The Undertaker. Someone that’s very, very respected in our business. Done it all, seen it all.
“So am I surprised that as soon as he was able to get his ideas flowing and going that they took off? Absolutely not.
“Like I said he’s one of the most respected wrestlers in our business, most decorated, one of the best to ever do it. And the fact that he’s in there doing his thing is not surprising to anybody.”

Why Has El Grande Americano Worked So Well In WWE AAA?
El Grande Americano, played by Ludwig Kaiser, has been one of the major hits of the Undertaker era of AAA, becoming one of the most popular wrestlers in the world this year.
Speaking on that popularity, Mysterio explained:
“Honestly I don’t know where this guy comes from, but I will say this. The fact that El Grande Americano is fluent in Spanish and can speak the language, can come in and out from English and Spanish, the people love him for it.
“He took the time to appreciate the culture, to better the language as far as him learning it and getting better at it. He embraced the culture, he embraced the people, and the Mexican people love him for it.
“That’s something I didn’t do, because I went down there and instantaneously received hate, so I gave hate back.
“With El Grande, he welcomed them with open arms and embraced the Mexican culture, and the Mexicans embraced him.”
