6. Keith Lee
Just looking at Keith Lee it’s hard to imagine how Vince McMahon never saw what everyone else could. Yet, WWE’s loss was looking to be AEW’s gain as they scooped up the Limitless one just three months later.
Now 2022 was a decent first year for Lee forming an excellent partnership with Swerve Strickland and winning the AEW Tag Titles. Yet ever since they split a year ago their trajectories couldn’t be more opposed.
While Swerve has developed into a future world champion in 2023, Keith Lee has… well… dyed his hair grey.
Given Lee’s history of being treated like a big deal by Triple H in NXT, perhaps there’s hope that a return to WWE could turn things around for the 39-year-old. Because it truly can’t get much worse than it’s been in AEW thus far.
