WWE Raw star Erik of The Viking Raiders has provided an injury update following his eight month absence from the company.

As previously reported, WWE Raw star Ivar suffered an injury during the show closing angle with Gallus attacking him, Wes Lee and Josh Briggs on the May 14 edition of NXT.

Ivar was joining his tag team partner in The Viking Raiders, Erik on the injured reserve who has been out since September 2023.

In an interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Ivar provided the latest injury update on his Viking Raiders tag team partner Erik. He said:

“He’s great. It’s just, it’s neck surgery so it’s a matter of time, and everybody’s neck heals differently, so it’s a matter of him getting cleared.”

“He’s doing great, physically great, doctors just need to clear him. And then he needs to get back to in-ring, so it’ll take some more time.”

It remains to be seen when The Viking Raiders will make their return to WWE programming at the time of this writing.
