On August 1 and 2, WWE will present one of their biggest shows of the year with the two-night SummerSlam 2026 premium live event.

With more than four weeks remaining before “The Biggest Party of the Summer,” there could be plenty of changes that take place in the coming weeks.

From rising stars winning their first title to alterations to the main event picture with another new champion crowned, these title switches will totally change the dynamics of the SummerSlam 2026 show.

Here are seven potential title changes before WWE SummerSlam 2026.

7. Lyra Valkyria Takes WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship From Sol Ruca

On the June 8 edition of Monday Night Raw, Sol Ruca defeated Lyra Valkyria to retain the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

Valkyria did not sit with this loss for long before teaming with Bayley to lose to Paige and Brie Bella for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Following the loss, Valkyria snapped and betrayed Bayley with a vicious assault that left her former friend lying.

With this change to her character, it feels fitting if Valkyria goes back after the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title and becomes a two-time champion moving forward.

6. Blake Monroe Debuts To Win WWE Women’s United States Championship

Over the past few weeks, fans have seen vignettes airing on Friday Night SmackDown teasing the arrival of Blake Monroe.

During one of those video packages, Monroe called out WWE Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton.

Then on the June 26 episode of SmackDown, Monroe made her main roster debut with an attack on Giulia.

After making her presence felt, Monroe could make her in-ring debut by beating Stratton for the WWE Women’s United States Championship in the coming weeks.

5. Ethan Page Captures WWE Intercontinental Championship From Penta

Since getting called up to the WWE main roster following WrestleMania 42, Ethan Page has made his mark on Monday Night Raw.

On the May 23 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Penta defeated Page to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

This loss has only made “All Ego” even more focused on the IC Title and wanting to claim the title from his rival.

Ethan Page finally capturing the gold from Penta would set the stage for more challengers like Chad Gable and Dragon Lee to step up as contenders moving forward.

4. Fatal Influence Win WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships From Paige & Brie Bella

On the April 24 WWE SmackDown After WrestleMania 42, Fatal Influence made their main roster debut and immediately attacked Paige and Brie Bella.

In the weeks since then, Fatal Influence have made it clear that they want the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

After their recent non-title losses to Paige and Brie, it feels like the group will have to wait a little longer before getting their opportunity.

Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid should be in line and could be the ones to dethrone Paige and Brie for the titles before WWE SummerSlam 2026.

3. War Raiders Beat R-Truth & Damian Priest For WWE Tag Team Championships

In recent weeks, War Raiders have been stalking R-Truth and Damian Priest, looking to get their shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships.

On the June 26 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Erik and Ivar issued a challenge for a winner takes all match for both the WWE and AAA Tag Team Titles in the future.

Now that they have the AAA World Tag Team Championships, there could be nothing standing in the way of War Raiders claiming the WWE Tag Team Titles from Truth and Priest.

This champion vs. champion clash might see a pair of new title holders walking out on top of the SmackDown tag team division ahead of WWE SummerSlam 2026 in Minneapolis.

2. Rhea Ripley Vacates WWE Women’s Championship & Jade Cargill Reclaims The Title

At WWE Clash In Italy 2026, Rhea Ripley defeated Jade Cargill to retain the WWE Women’s Championship.

During the course of the bout, Ripley suffered a knee injury that has kept her off of WWE television in recent weeks.

With the uncertainty of her future with this injury, it remains to be seen if Rhea will need extended time away from the company.

Ripley vacating the title could lead to the former champion Jade Cargill regaining the gold and setting the groundwork for a championship match with Charlotte Flair at WWE SummerSlam 2026.

1. Cody Rhodes Regains Undisputed WWE Championship From Sami Zayn

At WWE Night of Champions 2026, Sami Zayn defeated Cody Rhodes and GUNTHER to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Despite just losing the gold, Rhodes could find himself back in contention to regain his title from Zayn.

“The American Nightmare” being hellbent to get his hands back on the WWE Title should be one of the most important stories moving forward.

Rhodes dethroning Zayn to become a four-time WWE Champion could set the stage for Cody to defend the title against a returning CM Punk or Randy Orton come the SummerSlam 2026 premium live event,
