With plenty of shifts in the WWE roster, there could be some underutilized stars that see their character taken in a new direction as a manager.

Able to change expectations of the role that was previously revolutionized by the likes of Jim Cornette and Paul Bearer, a new era of on-screen manager could be on the horizon.

Here are seven WWE stars that could become managers on-screen.

7. Grayson Waller

After his A-Town Down Under tag team with Austin Theory broke up, Grayson Waller ended up with an intriguing new alliance.

Inserting himself as the latest third member of The New Day, Grayson Waller had been appearing on-screen with the veteran tag team.

However, with news of the departure from WWE of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, it has left Waller without an immediately clear direction forward.

Able to be hilarious alongside the likes of Chelsea Green or former ally in NXT Tiffany Stratton, a brand new facet to Grayson Waller could be unlocked.

6. Paige

One WWE star that could resume their past role as a dynamic manager or leader of a strong female group is Paige.

Recently making a return to WWE to sub in for the injured Nikki Bella at WrestleMania 42, Paige is back in WWE in a big way.

With her own notable history as a managerial presence in WWE during a time she wasn’t medically cleared, it could be exciting to see a version of Paige that blends both roles.

Able to lead a faction or just lend her talents to one star in particular, Paige could certainly be a force as a manager in 2026.

5. Omos

One WWE star that has already found new life in AAA is Omos.

Aligned with the El Ojo stable, Omos has been been a force as a heel alongside El Hijo del Vikingo and Dorian Roldán in AAA.

Potentially bringing his impressive stature back to the main roster, one underutilized aspect of his skills so far have been on the microphone.

Having a charismatic personality in media appearances, Omos could continue to expand his on-screen character to include more character work.

4. Charlotte Flair

Utilizing her skills as a dynamic performer beyond just between the bell, Charlotte Flair could become an amazing example of a brand new kind of professional wrestling manager.

While there are still plenty of achievements ahead of Charlotte Flair in her own right, a spell as a manager could set up an exciting feud for the future.

While the veteran who reaches out to mentor a newer talent only to betray them later is not a new trope in WWE by any means, Flair could certainly reinvent it.

Adding an element of intrigue to all of her appearances with Alexa Bliss, WWE audiences are kept on the edge of their seats regarding if or when Charlotte could turn on her tag team partner, and the same would be true for her protege.

3. Dominik Mysterio

While Dominik Mysterio’s in-ring career is far from over, he could potentially take on new life as a hated heel character in a manager role.

Already bringing plenty of boos when he appears with any members of the Judgment Day, Mysterio could find himself playing mentor to a specific talent.

Potentially taking them under his wing as a 20 year WWE TV veteran himself – first gracing screens in June 2003 celebrating Rey Mysterio’s WWE Cruiserweight Championship on SmackDown – the gimmick could be very amusing.

Putting Dominik in a position where he is sharing his wisdom and knowledge as a seasoned veteran of the roster could be hilarious for a spell before he inevitably had a falling out with his protege.

2. Kevin Owens

Out of action since before WrestleMania 41, Kevin Owens underwent major neck surgery which has left his in-ring future uncertain.

While he continues to rehab and explore a potential return, Owens hasn’t been far away from WWE.

Recently appearing as a coach on the A&E reality series WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats), there is definitely room for more KO on WWE TV.

Potentially making an on-screen return to manage any number of talent that arise from the series, Kevin Owens is a sorely missed TV character that could bring a lot of big moments without big physicality.

1. Nattie

After bringing her more violent and vicious side to WWE, Nattie could find a brand new persona as a manager.

One aspect that hasn’t been explored is a more positive experience of Nattie taking a star under her wing.

With her experience in the industry ranging decades, Nattie could find herself leading a faction akin to AEW’s Death Riders helmed by Jon Moxley, which seeks to bring a new layer of violence to WWE.

Being an on-screen mentor and manager for any number of male or female stars on the roster, Nattie could bring about a whole new attitude for a group of talent by training them in The Dungeon.
