This weekend has provided fans with some memorable moments that drastically shake up the landscape of WWE.
On the September 11 WWE SmackDown in Mexico City, we saw Sami Zayn defeat CM Punk to become a two-time Undisputed WWE Champion, and Damian Priest turn heel on long-time ally R-Truth.
Then, the following night at a WWE live event in Santiago, Chile, Stephanie Vaquer dethroned Liv Morgan to become the brand new Women’s World Champion.
While tonight’s TripleMania 34 promises more newsworthy moments, it’s time to look at the September 14 episode of WWE Raw and what surprises could be in store for the fans inside Arena CDMX.
Seth Rollins Returns To Help Oba Femi
Seth Rollins and Oba Femi teamed up several times during WWE’s 2026 Summer Tour.
Fans haven’t seen Seth Rollins on WWE TV since his SummerSlam 2026 loss to Roman Reigns back in August, however, he has made a return to in-ring action this past week during WWE’s tour of South America.
While he’s been teaming with LA Knight and Solo Sikoa in these non-televised matches, Rollins is fresh off wrapping up his 14 year story with Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, so it would be a surprise to see him immediately return and be involved in Bloodline business.
It could certainly be argued that Rollins shouldn’t get involved with The Vision either given that he spent most of 2026 feuding with the group, however, with Oba Femi outnumbered, he could certainly some help from ‘The Visionary.’
Kelani Jordan Becomes First NXT Money in the Bank Qualifier
In a welcome surprise, WWE announced that NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan will be taking part in a Money in the Bank qualifier on the September 14 WWE Raw.
Facing off with Raw debutant Lola Vice and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez, Jordan will certainly be considered the underdog, but also perhaps the most exciting option to win.
While her two opponents make for more logical winners, Jordan entering Money in the Bank could open the door for more NXT stars to get involved in the stipulation; which provides a chance for them to be pushed to the moon immediately on the main roster.
Penta Pulls Off A Major Shocker And Dethrones Roman Reigns
The headline match of WWE Raw in Mexico City will be the first-time encounter between World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and the winner of the recent luchador number one contender’s tournament: Penta.
A Penta win would make for a true moment in WWE history, and having that at their finger tips must be tempting – even if Penta was to drop the title back to Reigns a few weeks/months later.
While Reigns typically has long title runs, WWE has shown they’re not afraid to swap titles about in 2026, and seeing ‘The OTC’ dethroned would provide WWE Raw with some much-needed excitement and unpredictability.
