WWE
Over the past few weeks, there have been rumors circulating that CM Punk could be on his way back to WWE on the July 6 episode of Raw.
After being absent from the company’s television since the WWE Raw After WrestleMania 42, it looks like Punk will be returning on the July 6 edition of Monday Night Raw from his hometown of Chicago, Illinois.
Punk coming back in Chicago will set the stage for whatever he will be doing at the WWE SummerSlam premium live event.
Here are six potential CM Punk WWE Raw return plans in Chicago.
6. Starting A Feud With Dominik Mysterio

CM Punk’s first match back in WWE was with Dominik Mysterio, with the pair facing off in Madison Square Garden on December 26, 2023
Since returning to WWE in 2023, CM Punk has had some memorable rivalries with various stars, such as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre.
In different interviews over the past three years, Punk has made it clear that he has no love whatsoever for Dominik Mysterio.
Punk’s disdain for “Dirty Dom” could develop into a feud that might be the best way to reintroduce “The Best In The World.”
Whether it be this established hatred or through the current rivalry with his friend Danhausen, Punk could easily get himself back into the mix by confronting Mysterio in Chicago.
5. Putting An End To The Vision

Over the past year, CM Punk has been feuding with The Vision stable on Monday Night Raw.
From the original lineup led by Seth Rollins to being challenged by Bron Breakker for the World Heavyweight Championship, Punk has been one of the main enemies of The Vision.
As it currently stands, there are only two remaining members of The Vision with Austin Theory and Bron Breakker.
Punk coming back to put the death nail in The Vision would be appropriate considering the group was created with an attack on “The Second City Saint.”
4. Unfinished Business With Ethan Page

Back in 2024, CM Punk was actively traveling to Orlando to visit the WWE Performance Center to recover from his torn triceps injury and work with the younger talent in the company.
This led to Punk being the special guest referee for Trick Williams defeating Ethan Page to win the NXT Championship on the October 1, 2024 episode of NXT from Chicago, Illinois.
After the match, “All Ego” tried to put his hands on Punk until he delivered the Go To Sleep.
This unfinished business between Punk and Page could be addressed on the July 6 WWE Raw from Chicago to spark a new feud on Monday nights moving forward.
3. Double Return With Randy Orton

Randy Orton failed to win his 15th world title against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42
At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night One, Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship. Post match, Orton attacked and laid out Rhodes with a Punk Kick.
Elsewhere, Roman Reigns defeated CM Punk to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Mania 42 Night Two.
Since Mania, both Orton and Punk have not been seen on WWE television with many fans looking to see these two top stars making a return.
Ahead of WWE SummerSlam 2026, the company could create an intriguing rivalry between Punk and Orton with both stars returning on the July 6 Monday Night Raw from Chicago.
2. Taking Cody Rhodes Up On His Offer

CM Punk teased challenging Cody Rhodes for his Undisputed WWE Title during their meeting on the Raw after WrestleMania 42
On the April 20 WWE Raw After WrestleMania 42, Cody Rhodes confronted CM Punk with the two men teasing a future showdown.
Rhodes offered Punk a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship, but this isn’t possible following the Night of Champions premium live event.
At the most recent PLE, Rhodes lost the title to Sami Zayn in a triple threat with GUNTHER.
With Rhodes challenging Zayn for the gold in Chicago, “The American Nightmare” could be set to become a four-time WWE Champion and find the roles reversed with Punk confronting him to take up his offer.
1. Challenge The Winner Of Sami Zayn vs. Cody Rhodes For Undisputed WWE Championship

While it would make sense for CM Punk to wait until the dust has settled, “The Best In The World” could come back at the start of the July 6 episode of WWE Raw.
In a rare move by the company, SmackDown’s Sami Zayn will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes on this Monday’s Raw.
Amidst his lengthy absence from WWE, Punk has been rumored to be expected to move from Raw to Friday Night SmackDown.
With this title match taking place on Raw from Chicago, it could give Punk his opening to throw his name in his mix of the main event picture on the blue brand with Sami facing off with Cody in his hometown.
