WWE
WWE has filed a new trademark for a nickname for current World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns ahead of SummerSlam.
After winning the 2026 Royal Rumble match, Roman Reigns returned to the summit of WWE Raw at WrestleMania 42, when he defeated CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of night two of the show.
Since winning the title, we have seen the Bloodline once again reunite on WWE television, with Roman being flanked by Jimmy and Jey Uso, as well as Jacob Fatu following Jacob’s loss to Reigns at WWE Clash In Italy.
WWE Files Trademark For Tribal Chief
With Roman now once more the Tribal Chief, WWE has now filed to trademark the term, per the USPTO.
The following description accompanies the filing:
Clothing, namely, tops, shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies; outerwear, namely, coats; bottoms, pants, shorts, underwear, dresses, pajamas, lingerie, clothing ties, scarves, gloves, swimwear; Halloween and masquerade costumes; footwear, namely, shoes, sneakers, slippers, flip flops, boots; headwear, namely, hats, caps; wrist bands; bandanas; championship trophy belts
Reigns is set for what is being advertised as his ‘final encounter’ with Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam next month in Minneapolis.
The Bloodline Story Continuing Beyond WrestleMania 43?
After Oba Femi’s King of the Ring victory at Night of Champions, it looked as though we were headed for a potential World Heavyweight Championship clash between the Ruler and the Tribal Chief at SummerSlam next month.
However, that no longer seems to be the case, as Oba will instead face Brock Lesnar in a Hell In A Cell match at SummerSlam, with Reigns vs. Rollins set to be the World Heavyweight Championship match at the show.
If WWE holds off on Roman vs. Oba for WrestleMania 43 in 2027, then it seems as though this title reign of Roman’s, as well as this iteration of the Bloodline, is set to continue on beyond 2026 and into 2027.
If Reigns carries the title to WrestleMania and loses to Oba Femi, the fallout for the Bloodline angle would take place after the show, with potentially the addition of Zilla Fatu, who is expected to start soon with the company.
It seems as though WWE will continue to rely on the Bloodline as it’s top storyline for well over a year from this point, which leads to the issue of fans potentially becoming even more worn out by the story.
