There are a number of WWE tag teams right now that could be on the verge of going their separate ways in the near future.

With current champions on the verge of imploding and other teams made up of members who could excel as singles stars, a few of these duos don’t seem long for this world at this point.

Here are five WWE tag teams that could split up soon.

5. The LWO

WWE's Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro

Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro haven’t teamed up on WWE Raw since July 2025

The members of the LWO have largely separated, but Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro are still teaming up on WWE Main Event.

However, there’s a bit of a disconnect because in AAA, they’re establishing themselves individually – especially Wilde who’s gone back to something more similar to his DJZ character from TNA.

With Wilde acting more like a heel in AAA and the LWO barely appearing on WWE main roster TV this year outside of Main Event, the most likely outcome may be a split leading to a singles match between the two in AAA.

4. Myles Borne & Tavion Heights

Myles Borne is now a double champion in NXT, holding the North American Title in addition to the Tag Team Title alongside Tavion Heights.

Borne and Heights will have their first title defense at Heatwave on August 30 against Vanity Project’s Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes – the same night that Borne defends his North American Championship against the other member of Vanity Project, Jackson Drake.

While they’ve been getting on better recently, Heights has always seemed a little bit on edge about Borne also having his singles commitments, so they seem set to implode at any moment, particularly if Borne loses one or both of his titles at Heatwave.

3. Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair

Tatum Paxley has long cited Alexa Bliss as her pro-wrestling inspiration

Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair were only supposed to be a short-term team in 2025, but well over a year later, they’re still going strong.

The new addition of Tatum Paxley could be the thing that finally drives them apart, as Paxley’s personality may just be too much for Flair to deal with.

Flair may snap at Paxley, leaving Bliss with a decision on who to side with, with the most likely outcome being Paxley as Flair returns to being a heel.

2. Bron Breakker & Austin Theory

Bron Breakker took over Logan Paul’s half of the World Tag Team Championship after Paul suffered an injury in May 2026

Bron Breakker is becoming increasingly frustrated with the direction of The Vision – which is the on-screen storyline but may also be a reflection of reality.

Breakker seems very uninterested in the antics of Theory, Maxxine Dupri and Logan Paul, but is currently stuck with them as he’s the World Tag Team Champion with Theory – a spot he’s only in because of Paul’s injury.

It looks like Breakker is set to explode at any moment, and presumably as soon as they lose the championship, he’ll destroy Theory and be done with The Vision all together.

1. Damian Priest & R-Truth

Last week on SmackDown, Damian Priest and R-Truth lost their WWE Tag Team Championship to Tama & Talla Tonga.

Priest had been growing annoyed with Truth’s tendency to get them into situations where they had to defend their title, and last week, it finally caught up to them.

If they fail to win the title back in the rematch tonight, Priest might finally take those frustrations out on Truth and split their team up for good.
