An in-ring debut for a WWE star has now been confirmed for tomorrow night’s SmackDown show in Toronto, Canada.

Back at NXT Revenge, Tatum Paxley retained the Women’s North American Championship against Blake Monroe in a Casket match, which brought to an end Blake’s time in NXT.

Vignettes for Blake would air on SmackDown in the following weeks, with her making her first in person appearance on the WWE SmackDown episode in London on June 27, where she attacked Giulia following her victory over Kiana James.

After that however, Blake has gone almost another two months without making an in person appearance on the show, with her appearing solely in backstage segments, if at all, on the show.

WWE Confirms Blake Monroe In-Ring Debut For SmackDown

In a digital exclusive following last week’s SmackDown, Nick Aldis would tell Blake that it was finally time for her to step in the ring next week, with Giulia also appearing in the segment, accepting the challenge.

WWE has now confirmed that Blake will make her in-ring debut against Giulia tomorrow night on SmackDown.

Per WWE:

Blake Monroe has made a strong statement since emerging on SmackDown by carrying out a series of backstage attacks.

In response, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has determined that it’s time to move this aggressiveness into the ring, and Giulia is happy to oblige.

Don’t miss when Monroe battles The Beautiful Madness in her first SmackDown match, Friday at 8 ET/7 CT on SmackDown on USA.

Blake Monroe Is WWE’s Next Big Star, As Long As…

When the former Mariah May made the jump from AEW over to WWE last year, she did so coming off one of the hottest storylines and best matches in the history of the promotion.

Mariah’s heated rivalry with Toni Storm really elevated her in the eyes of the fans, with WWE among the people clearly high on the Glamour with how quickly she was signed to the company when the opportunity arose.

Now Blake Monroe, she undoubtedly has a world of potential and could become one of WWE’s break out stars for the next few years.

However, WWE has already stifled her by waiting four months after her initial call up that the momentum is off her, so WWE must avoid her becoming just another face in the crowd in a packed SmackDown women’s division.
