Current Stars To Be Inducted Into WWE Hall Of Fame 2027

While there is certainly no shortage of legends still yet to receive their WWE Hall of Fame rings, there are also a great number of current stars who are also deserving of that honor.

WWE has often waited until a wrestler’s career is over before inducting them into the Hall of Fame, but we have seen the likes of Rey Mysterio and Paul Heyman go in in recent years whilst still regularly appearing on TV – so there is a precedent for it.

Here are three current stars to potentially be inducted into the 2027 WWE Hall of Fame.

AJ Lee

Exactly one year ago today (September 5) AJ Lee returned to WWE after a decade away from the ring.

Initially returning to team with her husband CM Punk against fellow husband and wife pairing Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, AJ Lee would remain engaged in a feud with Lynch from her first match at Wrestlepalooza 2025, until WrestleMania 42 this past April.

Since losing to Lynch at ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’ AJ Lee has not been back on TV, but she is expected to resume her WWE career at some point, and remains on the current roster page.

Whether she intends to continue wrestling for years to come or not, we could see AJ honored for her contributions to women’s wrestling in 2027.

Sheamus

Although Sheamus is no longer under WWE contract, he is still an active wrestler and fans are eagerly anticipating what ‘The Celtic Warrior’ will do when he hits the free agent market.

Depending on what path Sheamus takes post-WWE, we could potentially see the four-time world champion honored for his achievements in the company by the time the 2027 Hall of Fame comes around.

If Sheamus is not contractually tied to AEW, there should be no barriers to WWE approaching him about a Hall of Fame induction next year.

Granted, Sheamus may not want it at this point of his career as he still seemingly has more to give inside the ring. Whether it happens or not, there’s no denying that Sheamus is worthy of a spot in WWE’s hallowed halls.

Michael Cole

While not an in-ring competitor, Michael Cole is about as active as anyone in WWE right now – and for the past three decades.

Cole has been the tireless voice of WWE for longer than many names on the roster have been alive, and whatever you think of his commentary, there’s little denying that he’s earned his spot in the Hall of Fame.

Much like Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler in 2007, WWE could honor Cole while he’s still active at the commentary desk; allowing him to be introduced as a Hall of Famer for the last remaining years of his active broadcast career.

With WWE last year surprising Stephanie McMahon with her Hall of Fame induction announcement last September, perhaps they could do the same with Cole and spring the news upon him during one of the company’s upcoming PLEs.
