WWE
This past week has seen both Johnny Gargano and The Creed Brothers return to their roots in WWE to great success.
Julius and Brutus made a statement on their return to the NXT tag division after a disappointing few years on main roster, while Gargano finally awoke from his depressive state to take CM Punk to the brink in an Undisputed WWE Championship match on SmackDown.
With more stars potentially in need of a similar revival, here are three more WWE stars to potentially return to their old characters.
Ivy Nile

Ivy Nile has not appeared on WWE Raw since she pinned IYO SKY as part of the Intercontinental Championship Contenders Gauntlet match on March 9
Naturally, with The Creed Brothers returning to WWE NXT, fans are wondering what this means for their American Made stablemate Ivy Nile.
According to Fightful Select, WWE have big creative changes lined up for Nile, which suggests that a complete repackaging could be in her future.
Given that Nile didn’t really manage to find a distinguishable character for herself on the main roster, a complete redo would probably be preferable; failing that, they could simply send her back to NXT to reform the Diamond Mine alongside The Creeds.
Nile was an NXT talent who passed through the system without capturing any gold, so WWE could simply send her back to Tuesday nights with a more ruthless edge and allow her to run roughshod on the division.
Rusev

Rusev is a three-time former WWE United States Champion.
After an injury scare in his last match against Je’Von Evans on the July 27 episode of Raw, Rusev has remained off TV.
It was recently confirmed by Fightful that Rusev’s ongoing absence is injury related, and he’s currently awaiting clearance to return to WWE TV after also dealing with an undisclosed illness.
While he and Ethan Page’s tag team has been a bright spot for both men, it would be nice to see Rusev continue to lean into the unhinged, funny side of his character, which could then lead to a babyface turn for ‘The Bulgarian Brute.’
Embracing the ‘Rusev Day’ chants once again, rather than denying them; Rusev can re-enter the mid-card title picture as a babyface and attempt to claim his first piece of title gold since returning to WWE over a year ago.
Tiffany Stratton

Tiffany Stratton held the WWE Women’s Championship for 302 days in 2025.
Since Chelsea Green suffered her broken orbital bone injury in early August, Tiffany Stratton has taken bullet after bullet for her new friend.
Losing her WWE Women’s US Title to Jacy Jayne and being beaten down by The Irresistible Forces week after week, it feels like a matter of time before Stratton turns on Green and targets her WWE Women’s Championship.
Returning to her heel roots from her NXT days, Stratton can re-establish herself on SmackDown in a role that honestly feels more comfortable for her, and in turning on the ever-popular Green, she will immediately have a ton of heat with the WWE audience.
A heel Stratton may also be better suited for a future WWE Women’s Title unification match with Rhea Ripley, as the company should avoid pitting two of their most popular babyfaces against each other.
