Late Changes To WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event

With no traditional main roster premium live event taking place this month, tomorrow’s Sunday Night’s Main Event stands as one of, if not the biggest WWE show of September.

Although we are almost 24 hours away from the show, we could still see WWE make some changes to what has been announced for the show before it kicks off tomorrow night in Atlanta.

Here are three potential late changes to WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event.

Blake Monroe vs. Giulia Added To Card

For two of the past three weeks, Giulia vs. Blake Monroe has been advertised to be taking place on SmackDown, only to not happen due to a pre-match attack.

On August 21, Monroe attacked Giulia as she was making her entrance and delivered a Neutraliser on ‘The Beautiful Madness’ inside the ring.

Then, two weeks later on September 4, the match was set to happen once again, but this time it was Giulia who attacked Monroe before the bell; delivering a brutal Arrivederci Knee to ‘The Glamour.’

With fans growing impatient, WWE could surprise Atlanta and give them the long-awaited debut of Blake Monroe at Sunday Night’s Main Event.

Paul Heyman Stands In Bron Breakker’s Corner

One of the most anticipated matches on the WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event card will be the first-time meeting between Oba Femi and Bron Breakker.

While the two 28-year-olds are battling it out to be crowned as the future of WWE, much of the build to the match has been entered around Paul Heyman – with questions being asked by Breakker regarding where his allegiance lies.

Heyman has not flanked Breakker – or any member of The Vision for that matter – in months, but has gotten more friendly with Oba Femi since ‘The Ruler’ retired his ‘Beast’ Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.

Whether he ends the match in Breakker’s corner or not, Paul Heyman could begin the match stood alongside Breakker in a showing of confidence to the former two-time Intercontinental Champion.

Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton Becomes Undisputed WWE Title Number One Contender’s Match

In an attempt to maintain order on SmackDown, Nick Aldis enforced a strict no-contact ruling on Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes ahead of their WrestleMania 42 rematch this Sunday.

The punishment for violating that the violating party would never get to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Title again, which is the only reason why neither caved in and attacked the other when topics such as family and supposed dead dogs were brought up.

While Sami Zayn now has the next opportunity at CM Punk’s Undisputed WWE Title secured for the September 11 SmackDown, WWE could make Rhodes and Orton’s match at Sunday Night’s Main Event extra interesting by making it so the winner receives a shot at whoever wins in Mexico City.

Serving as a way to get Rhodes and Orton back involved in the chaotic WWE Title scene, the stipulation would give WWE a good reason to delay a potential third instalment in the feud between ‘The American Nightmare’ and ‘The Legend Killer.’
