A WWE star won their debut match on tonight’s episode of SmackDown after first appearing several weeks ago.

Over the past few months, Shinsuke Nakamura has been at war with the MFTs, with Talla and Tama Tonga taking him out following WrestleMania 42.

Shinsuke has been attempting to recruit Tama Tonga away from the MFTs dating back to their time with Solo Sikoa, but he recently announced that he wouldn’t be going at it alone against them.

Kyoki Wins WWE Debut Match With Shinsuke Nakamura As ‘Bakusai’

It was then revealed that Shinsuke’s new tag team partner would be the debuting Hiromu Takahashi, now going by the name ‘Kyoki’, to form the team known as ‘Bakusai’ on SmackDown.

It was reported back in February that Hiromu was expected to sign with WWE when both he and EVIL (now Naraku in NXT) departed New Japan Pro Wrestling at the end of their contracts.

Last week, The Miz and Kit Wilson approached Nick Aldis backstage, with them demanding a match on tonight’s episode of SmackDown, which Aldis announced would be against the debuting Bakusai.

On the show, that was taped last week, Bakusai would pick up the win in their first match as a team, before being confronted by Haku and the MFTs on the stage.

Kyoki & Shinsuke Nakamura To Revive SmackDown Tag Team Division?

Over the past year, the SmackDown Tag Team division has gone from being arguably the best part of the entire show to being a complete afterthought that had seemingly no end in sight.

However, in recent weeks, there has seemingly been a little bit more interest from WWE about establishing the SmackDown tag division back to what it once was.

With Damian Priest & R-Truth feuding with the War Raiders over the AAA World Tag Team Championship, and Bakusai now feuding with the MFTs, there are two tag team rivalries on the SmackDown brand going on right now.

The division also has other exciting names such as Fraxiom and Los Garza at their disposal, though they haven’t been featured on television in a number of weeks.
