The name of a newly formed WWE tag team featuring a debuting star has now been confirmed following a recent trademark filing.
On last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, former New Japan Pro Wrestling star Hiromu Takahashi officially made his debut in the company after months of rumours regarding his status.
Takahashi, now going by the name Kyoki, was revealed as the new tag team partner of Shinsuke Nakamura, who had teased bringing a partner with him to help combat the MFTs amid their ongoing rivalry.
To close out the segment, Kyoki would let out the term ‘Bakusai’, which was a recent WWE trademark filing the company made back in June, which implied that the name would be used in relation to Kyoki and Shinsuke’s new team.
At last night’s WWE Raw and SmackDown tapings, Kyoki officially made his in-ring debut for WWE, defeating Kit Wilson in a dark match prior to the show.
During his entrance, the word ‘Bakusai’ was again displayed on Kyoki’s titantrons, seemingly confirming that the name would be used for the team of he and Nakamura.
Now, False Finish has confirmed that the name will be the team name for Shinsuke Nakamura and Kyoki.
