10. Mr. T vs. Roddy Piper (WrestleMania II)
I’ve started to realise that maybe, just maybe, WWE should stick to wrestling matches instead of trying other forms of fighting. We had Bart Gunn getting clocked, we had Big Show’s ass, now we have completed the Triforce of shite.
The success of the very first WrestleMania was aided, in no small part, by the appearances of many celebrities, most notably Mr T, who competed in the main event of the show in a match we will get to later.
T had his sequel the following year, in a boxing match with Roddy Piper, and like most sequels, it really shouldn’t have happened.
Piper is the perfect opponent to put in with a celebrity for a wrestling match to get the best out of them. Key word there is “wrestling”, not… this.
