WWE
The 2027 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony is in all likelihood still a ways off, but there is a chance we could see some of the company’s plans for it take shape soon.
Last year saw WWE shake up their typical Hall of Fame rollout by confirming Stephanie McMahon as the headline inductee for the 2026 class in September, rather than during the road to WrestleMania as they have traditionally done in years past.
While this certainly could have been a one-off, it does make another imminent announcement for their 2027 Hall of Fame plans at least a possibility.
With Wrestlepalooza playing host to the first announcement last year, perhaps Money in the Bank will be the chosen event this time around. Here are three names we could see announced for the 2027 Hall of Fame at the event:
Brock Lesnar
We are now two months removed from Brock Lesnar’s final WWE match at SummerSlam against Oba Femi, and unlike his first retirement at WrestleMania 42, it appears as if this one is set to stick.
Considering AJ Styles was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame after hanging up his boots earlier this year, Brock Lesnar must be considered a favorite to receive that same honor in 2027.
With an unrivalled set of accolades across amateur wrestling, pro wrestling and MMA, Lesnar is certainly deserving of being a first ballot Hall of Fame pick for next year, and considering how synonymous he became with Saudi Arabia-based premium live events over the years it would be somewhat fitting to see him inducted on the same weekend as the first WrestleMania in the country.
Michael Cole
It has been 19 years since the last time WWE inducted an active commentator into the Hall of Fame, with the 2007 class seing both Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler inducted whilst they were both still paired together at the Raw announce desk.
20 years on, it may finally be time for the current “Voice of WWE” Michael Cole to be honored in the same way. The 30-year WWE veteran has been about as consistent and hard-working as anyone in company history since first arriving in 1997, working in a variety of roles and with a host of legendary commentary partners.
With Cole expected to be at the booth once again for Money in the Bank, who else but the bearer of good news (apparently) The Undertaker could show up to once again inform another legend of their Hall of Fame induction; a well-earned honor for Cole that he can carry until he hangs up his headset.
John Cena
John Cena’s future Hall of Fame induction hasn’t really ever been in question at any point over the past 20 years.
Cena was an ever-present fixture of WWE’s main event scene for well over a decade, racking up 17 WWE World Title wins, two Royal Rumbles, Money in the Bank, five United States Championships, four WWE Tag Team Titles and one run towards the tail-end of his career as Intercontinental Champion to complete the Grand Slam.
Those accolades don’t tell the whole story however, as Cena was more than championships he was, and still is the absolute perfect ambassador for WWE who’s hard work and commitment to his role as the guy will likely never ever be matched. Whether his Hall of Fame nod comes in 2027 or another year, it will be more than earned.
