Next WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions: Who will dethrone Fatal Influence to win the title?

Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid of Fatal Influence currently hold the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, winning the gold in July.

With the duo recently defending the gold against Chelsea Green and Tiffany Stratton, there has been some speculation about the next team to hold the top prize in the WWE women’s tag-team division.

From first-time titleholders to teams pitched by the WWE creative team, there are a number of tandems who could dethrone Fatal Influence to win the title.

Here are four teams who could become the next WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

The Bella Twins

Since Brie Bella’s WWE return at Royal Rumble, she and Nikki Bella have stated on multiple occasions that their ultimate goal is to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship together.

The months since have been very unfortunate for the duo pursuing this goal, with Nikki Bella suffering an ankle injury which resulted in Paige replacing her in the Women’s Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania 42.

During Nikki’s first match back – teaming with Brie and Paige against Fatal Influence at SummerSlam – Brie Bella suffered a broken scapula, an injury expected to keep her out of action for three to six months.

With Nikki Bella previously revealing that she plans to retire at the end of 2027, a Women’s Tag Team Championship victory will be the main focus of the Bella Twins once both sisters are able to team again.

Charlotte Flair & Tatum Paxley

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss previously held the Women’s Tag Team Championship together for 100 days in 2025, winning the gold at SummerSlam in August, before losing to the Kabuki Warriors tha November.

Interestingly, Flair has been teaming with her new ally, Tatum Paxley, more in recent weeks, leading many to believe that this will be the tandem to next hold the gold.

Tatum Paxley joined forces with Flair and Bliss on the August 7 SmackDown episode, instantly elevating the former NXT star to the same level as two ex-women’s champions.

With Bliss and Flair having decorated careers on the main roster, we could soon see the duo help Tatum Paxley win her first title as a SmackDown star.

Judgment Day

There is currently a lot of uncertainty surrounding dynamics within the Judgment Day, following Liv Morgan losing the Women’s World Championship to Stephanie Vaquer.

With Morgan no longer holding singles gold, we could see her return to the women’s tag-team division to win back the title she has held four times.

While it would make sense for Morgan to team with her former championship tag partner Raquel Rodriguez, the Women’s Intercontinental Champion may have her hands full, and it may be up to Morgan and Perez to win back the gold.

With the dynamics within the women’s sector of the Judgment Day changing drastically over the past few months, a Women’s Tag Team Championship win would add another interesting twist to this tale.

Jordynne Grace & Ivy Nile

Jordynne Grace and Ivy Nile appear set to form a new tag-team on WWE TV soon.

Following reports about creative pitches within the company for a new women’s tag-team featuring Nile and Grace, Fightful Select reported that sources believe that this team is tied to the company’s recent “Iron Built” trademark filing.

With both stars able to benefit from this pairing, we could see Nile and Grace both win their first championship on the main roster.

While the duo’s characters within this team haven’t been confirmed, the team could become the ultimate foil to Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid of Fatal Influence.
