Despite pro wrestling giving us hundreds of different match stipulations over the years, WWE often tends to stick to what it knows for the most part.

When a bitter blood feud calls for it WWE will tend to throw out the usual suspects like a Street Fight or Steel Cage, while many more interesting stipulations aren’t deployed.

Looking at the rivalries in WWE that appear to be reaching their conclusions, here are two rare match stipulations that could potentially return:

Lyra Valkyria vs. Bayley – Loser Leaves WWE

The inspiration for this list, it was recently reported by WrestleVotes that a “rare” match stipulation is being considered for the blow-off to Bayley and Lyra Valkyria’s feud.

A lot of possibilities will come to the mind of fans when hearing that; Hair vs. Hair? I Quit? Iron Woman? There are many options that would certainly be considered “rare” and be fitting for the end of the feud.

The future of Bayley has been the subject of rumors all year, as it has been reported that her deal is due to expire before the end of the year. Her return to WWE TV last month led many to believe she had re-signed – and there have certainly been differing reports – but as of right now there hasn’t been 100% confirmation that she has done so.

If Bayley is departing, the perfect way to end her feud with Lyra would be a Loser Leaves WWE match. While it would make the outcome predictable for those in the know, it would bring Bayley’s time in WWE to a definitive end whilst also giving Lyra eternal bragging rights.

Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton – Texas Bullrope Match

With Randy Orton costing Cody Rhodes his WWE Money in the Bank qualifier last week, it’s evident that neither man if moving on until they have settled their score. Having faced off in two normal one-on-one matches thus far, it’s definitely time for WWE to introduce a stipulation for their third, and potentially, final match.

If the match is to happen at Survivor Series in Houston, Texas on November 28, WWE could go ahead and have Orton and Rhodes battle it out in a Texas Bullrope Match, a stipulation that would be fitting, not only due to the location of the show, but also its historical significance to both men.

Almost 20 years ago, at WWE Great American Bash 2007, Orton defeated Cody’s father Dusty Rhodes in the very same match, with the young “American Nightmare” stepping in to protect his father from a post match attack from “The Legend Killer.”

With that rivalry being how WWE fans were first introduced to Cody, it’d be a nice callback to see he and his former mentor battle it out in the same stipulation all these years later.
