Roman Reigns Plans At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

On the July 13 edition of WWE Raw, the company announced that World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns will be in attendance for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Considering his star power and status as one of WWE’s biggest stars, all eyes will be on “The OTC” in a massive way.

Whether it be interacting with other top stars on the roster or just his scheduled segment with New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, Reigns will be front and center at Madison Square Garden on July 18.

Here are six potential Roman Reigns plans at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

6. Roman Reigns Acknowledges Jalen Brunson

On July 13, Roman Reigns took to social media to invite New York Knicks All-Star guard and 2026 NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson to come to the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden.

Being an avid pro wrestling and WWE fan, Brunson was quick to reply and accept the invite to his home away from home at MSG.

In this year’s playoffs, the Knicks went on a miraculous run that saw Brunson lead the team to winning their first NBA Championship in 53 years.

After the attention the Knicks run has gotten and wanting some crossover moment on this show, Reigns could bring out the NBA Finals MVP to acknowledge him at “The World’s Most Famous Arena.”

5. Joining Jalen Brunson & The New York Knicks In Helping Danhausen Beat JD McDonagh

For the past few weeks, there have been rumors that the New York Knicks will have some sort of involvement with the July 18 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Considering the promotion for this show has been centered on Danhausen, “The Very Nice, Very Evil” star has to have some kind of interaction with the Knicks after cursing and uncursing them before they went 15-1 on the run to the NBA Championship.

NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson will be featured in a segment with World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, which could transition into Danhausen’s No DQ Match against JD McDonagh.

Reigns joining Brunson and the Knicks in assisting Danhausen against McDonagh would offer a nice surprise that sees “The OTC” interacting with talent he doesn’t usually come across on WWE TV here.

4. Giving The Knicks A Special WWE Custom-Made Title To Display At Madison Square Garden

Simply put, the New York Knicks winning the 2026 NBA Finals was huge for the team and the overall sport of basketball.

In a strange way, it was also important for WWE who brought attention to their run thanks to Danhausen’s connection with the team.

Roman Reigns being scheduled for a segment with Jalen Brunson could be as simple as just presenting something to the NBA Finals MVP.

Representing WWE as the World Heavyweight Champion, “The OTC” could give Brunson and the Knicks a custom-made special WWE Title to honor their historic run to the NBA Championship.

3. Confrontation With Solo Sikoa

Following WWE Clash In Italy 2026, Solo Sikoa came out with The MFTs to watch the aftermath of Roman Reigns defeating Jacob Fatu in a Tribal Combat for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Since then, Reigns and Fatu have been trying to convince Sikoa to rejoin his family in The Bloodline. This led to Tama and Talla Tonga turning their backs and abandoning Solo after months of frustration.

Now standing on his own, Sikoa has found some allies to fight against The Bloodline in LA Knight and Royce Keys setting up a six-man tag against Jacob Fatu and The Usos at WWE SummerSlam 2026.

With SummerSlam just weeks away, Reigns could call out Sikoa to try to settle things and finally convince him to bring into the fold of The Bloodline after WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

2. Joining Commentary For CM Punk & Cody Rhodes vs. GUNTHER & Sami Zayn Main Event

Roman Reigns is someone who does not usually join commentary for any match regardless of if his rival is involved in the match.

With Reigns not scheduled to compete inside the squared circle, “The OTC” could do something different by having him join the commentary desk for a match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Looking at the card for this show, there is no bigger match for Reigns to sit in on than CM Punk and Cody Rhodes vs. GUNTHER and SamI Zayn.

Considering his history with all four men especially Punk and Rhodes, Reigns could provide some insightful thoughts on both men in this bout and heading into their Undisputed WWE Championship showdown at WWE SummerSlam 2026.

1. Pull-Apart Brawl With Seth Rollins

On the July 13 episode of WWE Raw, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins signed the contract for their World Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam 2026.

After a heated exchange of words, Rollins attacked Reigns and ended the night standing over him following a Curb Stomp.

While Reigns is announced to appear alongside the New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, Rollins is not scheduled to be on the show, but he could appear to taunt “The OTC” after their interaction on Raw.

A pull-apart brawl with Rollins would be the best way to have some physicality involving Reigns and also help to further promote their title bout at the WWE SummerSlam 2026 premium live event.
