Ruthless Aggression Era star to be inducted into 2027 WWE Hall of Fame: Three 2000s stars that could join next year’s class

While fans are still waiting to find out the exact date of next year’s WrestleMania 43, one event that will almost certainly be kicking off the weekend’s festivities is the 2027 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.

Inductees are typically not revealed until WWE are on the road to WrestleMania, but last year saw that change when the first inductee for the 2026 class was announced at Wrestlepalooza in September 2025.

With that precedent being set, it’s appropriate to be taking an early look at which names may get chosen for next year’s class.

Here are three Ruthless Aggression Era WWE stars to potentially be inducted into the 2027 Hall of Fame:

John Cena

With John Cena’s legendary 23-year WWE career wrapping up last December, he will certainly be a favorite to be inducted into the Hall of Fame every year that passes afterwards.

And rightfully so, Cena is one of those names who could justifiably get their own wing in the Hall of Fame; he had that big of an impact on WWE and the wrestling business.

Cena is still with WWE in an ambassador role, so getting him for the Hall of Fame should be easy enough, although like fellow Hollywood heavyweights The Rock and Dave Bautista, any plans will depend on Cena’s acting schedule given that WrestleMania is overseas for the very first time in 2027.

Umaga

With his son Zilla Fatu now with WWE on the NXT brand, it feels like the perfect time for the company to honor the late Umaga with a Hall of Fame spot.

While his peak run in the mid 2000s was relatively short-lived, Umaga’s legacy lives on through The Bloodline and he remains one of the most memorable monster heels of his era.

Many would argue that ‘The Samoan Bulldozer’ should have dethroned John Cena for the WWE Championship during their feud. While that didn’t happen, they did at least give WWE one of its all-time best Last Man Standing matches at the 2007 Royal Rumble.

Brock Lesnar

The most recent WWE legend to hang up his boots; Brock Lesnar is another frontrunner to be the headline inductee of the 2027 Hall of Fame class.

Within five months of debuting in WWE on the Raw after WrestleMania 18, Brock Lesnar won the King of the Ring and became the youngest WWE Champion of all time by defeating The Rock at SummerSlam 2002; a record that would later be beaten by Randy Orton at the same event two years later.

Lesnar dominated for the next two years, before leaving WWE to pursue the NFL and later UFC. After returning to WWE as a former UFC Heavyweight Champion in 2012, Lesnar then picked up where he left off and became one of the biggest box office attractions WWE had at their disposal through the 2010s and 2020s.

With WWE honoring AJ Styles with a WWE Hall of Fame nod after his retirement earlier this year, it would be fitting to see the company do the same for Brock Lesnar in 2027.
