Second generation stars to join WWE faction (and one is signed in another company)

A WWE faction based around multi-generational stars could grow in number, although signings elsewhere could get in the way.

Formed in March of this year, BirthRight have staked a claim to dominance in NXT, all thanks to their legendary heritage.

Led by Lexis King, the son of the late Brian Pillman, BirthRight also includes Charlie Dempsey (son of William Regal), Uriah Conners (son of Fit Finlay), Arianna Grace (daughter of Santino Marella) and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo (the fiancé of Grace)

Very much like The Bloodline on the main roster, there are plenty of stars who could be a fit for the NXT faction, and here’s just a handful of names who could be additions:

Aalyah Gutierrez

The daughter of Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, Aalyah Gutierrez may be early in her professional wrestling career, but she recently signed a WWE developmental deal.

It’s unlikely she will find herself slingshotted onto NXT television so soon, but there’s an opportunity to use her in a non-wrestling capacity until such a time that she can compete and attaching her to BirthRight, recognizing her heritage, would be a solid way to introduce the star.

The star is also no stranger to main roster television, having appeared on Raw and SmackDown earlier this decade.

Brock Anderson

The son of WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson, Brock Anderson would train at the Nightmare Factory and was signed by AEW between 2021 and 2023.

Competing on the independent wrestling scene with CW Anderson, the former AEW star would be an ideal fit for BirthRight, sharing a technical in-ring style with Dempsey.

Avery Styles

Keeping the WWE Hall of Fame theme going, Avery Styles is the son of AJ Styles and would be the youngest of the names, being just 19 years of age.

With a debut match in June of this year, Styles has signed a contract with TNA Wrestling, competing in a dark match against Brian Myers on August 28.

The partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling has seemingly cooled over recent months, with much less crossover between stars, yet there is still an opportunity for Styles to do something in NXT.

Ava

The former WWE NXT general manager, Ava has recently revealed that, since departing the professional wrestling world, she’s a “junior executive” in Seven Bucks Productions, the company owned by her father, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and mother Dany Garcia.

Ava left WWE in January of this year, having debuted as Ava Raine in February 2023, competing between April and August of that year, later transitioning to the role of NXT general manager.

Whereas everyone else on the list is a second-generation star, Ava is the first fourth-generation talent to have signed a WWE contract.

BirthRight: The Bloodline of WWE NXT

The Bloodline has been a fixture on the main roster since its formation in 2021 and has gone through a number of changes, with its current iteration seeing Roman Reigns as the head of the table. A dominant faction on WWE Raw, The Bloodline is made up of members of the Anoa’i family, bonded by blood over a common cause.

While BirthRight may not have the same blood, heritage still plays strongly within the faction and there’s potential for it to grow given the number of young multi-generational stars on the independent wrestling scene today.

Within the confines of NXT, it’s unlikely that BirthRight would have the impact of The Bloodline, unless they were all brought to the main roster. Arguably, as a faction, the NXT stars have the potential to make a mark on Raw or SmackDown, although they’d need space in which to thrive.
