1. What will be the main event of WrestleMania 35?
Kevin Cavanagh: Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Ronda Rousey. Ronda and Charlotte competed in arguably the two best matches of WrestleMania 34. Charlotte was able to end Asuka’s undefeated run while Ronda was magnificent in her first WWE match. The name recognition of Flair and Rousey should make this one of the most anticipated main events in history. Even better, I think the WWE knows what they have right now and can take almost a full year to build to it. Rousey and Charlotte headline WrestleMania 35.
Andy Datson: Bobby Lashley vs. Roman Reigns. It just makes sense in my mind that Vince will want to push his new giant human to the moon, and that his other favorite, Roman Reigns, will be there to face him. Roman has now been in the main-event the last four Wrestlemanias and getting to five in a row is the sort of thing I can definitely see WWE doing. This is not the match I want to see, I’d much rather see something along the lines of AJ Styles vs. Daniel Bryan, but they’re not big and sweaty enough so that’s just my fantasies spilling out.
Brian Joyce: Roman Reigns (c) vs. John Cena. The main event of WrestleMania 35 will be Roman Reigns vs. John Cena for the WWE Universal Championship. WWE will continue to push Roman Reigns as the top babyface of the company until it works or he drops dead. So in doing so, WWE will want to continue their string of torch-passing WrestleMania main events from one former top babyface to the next. Hogan vs. Rock and Rock vs. Cena will be joined by Cena vs. Reigns next year.
Shaun Shine: AJ Styles (c) vs. Seth Rollins. My head and my heart are saying very different things here. My head says Reigns vs. Strowman. But, I’m going to go with my heart. AJ Styles vs. Seth Rollins, in my opinion, would be a dream championship match to headline WrestleMania 35. They are two of my favorite in-ring performers. Styles has recently hinted that he may not be around for a long time. This would give him a huge match and would put Rollins over as a top star who’s very much the future of the company.
