The card for WWE Clash In Italy 2026 is now set in stone with just a few days remaining before this historic premium live event.
With five matches on the lineup, there had to have been several bouts that were left off or canceled along the way to this show.
From title bouts to grudge matches, the company may have had some intriguing contests left on the cutting room floor.
Here are six potential WWE Clash In Italy 2026 matches canceled.
7. Liv Morgan vs. Stephanie Vaquer For WWE Women’s World Championship
At WrestleMania 42 Night One, Liv Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer to win the WWE Women’s World Championship.
Then on the April 27 Monday Night Raw, Morgan and The Judgment Day attacked Vaquer backstage, leading to “La Primera” suffering an AC sprain injury in her shoulder.
This has put Vaquer on the shelf where she hasn’t appeared on WWE television for over the past month.
Before this injury, it looked like Vaquer was positioning herself for a Mania rematch against Morgan that could have taken place at the WWE Clash In Italy 2026 show.
6. Paige & Brie Bella vs. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria For WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships
Paige made her return to WWE when she teamed with Brie Bella to defeat The Irresistible Forces, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria and Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 42.
Since then, Paige and Brie have found success as a duo and been willing to defend their gold against any pairing in the company right now.
Over the past few weeks, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria have garnered some momentum, including a win over The Judgment Day on the May 25 edition of WWE Raw.
This could have set the stage for Bayley and Lyra to challenge Paige and Brie for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at Clash In Italy 2026.
5. Penta vs. Ethan Page vs. Rusev vs. Je’Von Evans For WWE Intercontinental Championship
In recent weeks, Penta has been surrounded by a litany of challengers for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
At the May 23 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Penta defeated Ethan Page to retain the title. Then just two days later, Penta scored another win this time against Je’Von Evans to retain the gold.
“All Ego” and “The Young OG” are still on the hunt for their opportunity at the IC Title, while Rusev has been in the mix as well.
Penta defending the IC Title against Page, Evans and Rusev seemed to be in the makings and would have proven to be a show stealer at WWE Clash In Italy 2026 on May 31.
4. Wepa Time (Damian Priest & R-Truth) vs. The MFTs (Solo Sikoa & Talla Tonga) For WWE Tag Team Championships
Over the past month, The MFTs have made it clear that they are targeting the current WWE Tag Team Champions Damian Priest and R-Truth.
After a series of attacks, Solo Sikoa, Talla Tonga and Tama Tonga have taken out Truth and are continuing their issues with Priest.
While Truth has not been medically cleared, Priest has continued to fight back against The MFTs in recent weeks.
If Truth was cleared to compete, it feels like Wepa Time would be heading into WWE Clash In Italy 2026 to defend their gold against The MFTs at the event.
3. Trick Williams vs. Carmelo Hayes For WWE United States Championship
At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two, Trick Williams defeated Sami Zayn to win the United States Championship.
Since then, Williams has picked up another win over Zayn at the WWE Backlash 2026 premium live event.
Then on the May 22 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Williams was confronted by Carmelo Hayes, who also wanted a shot at the US Title.
While he got a win in a non-title match, it feels like the battle of the former Trick-Melo Gang should have happened on a premium live event like WWE Clash In Italy 2026 where they could have gotten a bigger spotlight.
2. The Vision (Bron Breakker, Logan Paul & Austin Theory) vs. Seth Rollins & Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)
At WWE Backlash 2026, Bron Breakker defeated Seth Rollins thanks to a distraction from Paul Heyman and The Vision.
This has led to Rollins trying to join forces with Street Profits to fight against his former stable, but Montez Ford has been against this idea.
Then at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, The Vision defeated Street Profits to retain the World Tag Team Titles. On the May 25 WWE Raw, Rollins defeated Ford, while Austin Theory brutally attacked Angelo Dawkins with a steel chair.
With Logan Paul suffering a serious torn triceps injury at Saturday Night’s Main Event, it seems like any plans for The Vision to face Rollins and The Profits are now out of the window for the WWE Clash In Italy 2026 premium live event.
1. Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton For Undisputed WWE Championship
At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night One, Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.
After the bout, Orton attacked Rhodes with the title belt and punted him in the head to stand tall to close the event.
In the weeks since Mania, Orton has been nowhere to be found, while GUNTHER has arrived on SmackDown and immediately targeted Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship.
With “The Ring General” set to challenge “The American Nightmare,” it seems like the opportunity for Orton to once again go for number 15 against Rhodes at WWE Clash In Italy 2026 is no longer on the table.
