Aleister Black (c) vs. Tommaso Ciampa
Speaking of true heel champions… what a phenomenal episode of NXT we had aye? This match was on a whole other level. Black and Ciampa were taking each other to the limit like it was a TakeOver special and they absolutely delivered. I think I spent more of the match on the edge of my seat than sitting back. Always a strong sign.
This, along with the recent ***** Meltzer approved NXT Tag Team Championship match between Undisputed Era and Moustache Mountain, is how the black and yellow brand are going to prove that they are more than just a great pay-per-view. Their weekly product is astounding and looks to only be getting better.
If you haven’t seen this one yet, I strongly suggest, whether you know who wins or not, that you sit down and watch it because it is simply fantastic. From in-ring work to storyline progression, it has it all and brilliantly so. The only question is, where do we go from here?
