Predicting The Next Holder Of Every WWE & NXT Championship WWE

With WrestleMania 40 looming large in just two months, it’s interesting to imagine just how much the WWE landscape could change once the Grandest Stage of Them All wraps up.

Between now and then we will get a much better idea of WWE’s creative direction and plans for their 13 championships across Raw, SmackDown and NXT; but for now it’s time to put our speculation caps on and do some predicting.

This will sometimes include naming specifics as to when/how some title changes will take place – such as WrestleMania for example, but mostly this will focus just on the identify of who will be next to take each WWE title.

This is a bit of undertaking, and in many cases, a giant shot in the dark but there’s no harm giving it a try.

Starting off with the first of five NXT Championships, let’s get things started…

13. WWE NXT North American Championship – Wes Lee

NXT breakout star of 2023 Oba Femi has a bright future ahead of him, already establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with in WWE.

So much so that I really can’t see the Nigerian dropping his newly acquired North American Championship anytime soon.

Looking at the current roster it’s hard to pick out anyone that could threaten his reign, however, there is one man currently on the shelf with injury that very well could do so when he makes his return: Wes Lee.

If Lee hadn’t suffered a serious back injury in the lead up to NXT Deadline then he very well may have been a two-time champion right now, but with an 8-12 month absence it may be a while till we see that sight again.

However, Lee will be expected back at some point and it’s hard to imagine him not immediately targeting the championship that was ripped away from him.
