Every WWE star spotted in ‘Agent of Shadows’ ReelShort drama trailer: it’s not just Drew McIntyre

‘Agent of Shadows’ is coming, courtesy of ReelShort, and Drew McIntyre is just one of the WWE stars to feature in the ‘vertical microdrama’.

WWE recently announced a partnership with ReelShort, with the venture seeking to offer a ‘new storytelling experience’.

The first collaboration in the ‘vertical microdrama’ space is ‘Agent of Shadows’, with Drew McIntyre among a number of WWE stars to be showcased:

Drew McIntyre

Absent since WrestleMania 42 and his loss to Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned match, Drew McIntyre is expected to make a return to WWE, although a date for that moment is yet to be confirmed.

‘Agent of Shadows’ isn’t the only acting project to feature McIntyre, with the star having been cast in the Highlander reboot.

Jacob Fatu

An act of attempted vehicular homicide has written Jacob Fatu off WWE screens, but October 23 will give fans a chance to carry him in their pocket, thanks to the ReelShort production.

The WWE star is no stranger to the acting world, having had a role, alongside Rikishi, Mickie James and Vanessa Borne, in the 2017 movie Kingdom of Gladiators: The Tournament.

Joe Hendry

Not only does Joe Hendry have a music album out, but he’s turning his talents to acting in WWE, with this microdrama.

Currently showcasing his vocal talents on WWE Raw, the star recently gifted JD McDonagh a Funko Pop, celebrating his track covering that very topic.

Royce Keys

The 946 leader is currently tearing it up on WWE Raw, targeting The Bloodline, and Roman Reigns in particular.

A powerhouse star on every level, Keys made his WWE debut at the Royal Rumble in January of this year, having parted ways with AEW earlier that month.

Hank & Tank

Former NXT Tag Team Champions, Hank Walker & Tank Ledger have been a unit since early 2023.

Both signed in 2022, Walker would secure a developmental contract, with Ledger joining via the Next in Line program.

Nikkita Lyons

The WWE star really has become “Nikkita Multi Media” with her appearance in ‘Agent of Shadows’.

The current WWE Evolve Women’s Champion, Nikkita Lyons has seen action on NXT and in WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats), including competing in the NXT Women’s Championship Number 1 Contender Battle Royal.

Booker T

A WWE Hall of Famer and NXT commentary partner, Booker T appeared as himself in the 2000 comedy Ready to Rumble, and made an appearance in the TV series Charmed.

His last in-ring outing came at Reality of Wrestling, the independent promotion that he co-founded with his real-life wife and fellow Hall of Famer, Queen Sharmell, with the January 2025 match seeing him team with AJ Francis, Edge Stone & Gaspar Hernandez in a Street Justice Rules Gauntlet victory over Zilla Fatu, who has since made his WWE NXT debut.

Michael Hayes

Another WWE Hall of Famer to star in ‘Agent of Shadows’, Michael Hayes has gone from a celebrated in-ring career to a number of backstage roles, including his current position as Vice President, Creative Writing & Booking.

Earlier this year, Hayes indicated that Chelsea Green’s role in WWE was to ‘elevate’ other stars, comments that drew criticism on social media. Having later become Interim WWE Women’s Champion, Green would dedicate the win to Hayes, revealing her honest reaction to the comments.

‘Agent of Shadows’ synopsis:

The official ReelShort listing for ‘Agent of Shadows’ explains:

“The world’s greatest secret agent must protect and care for his six-year-old daughter while posing as her nanny. Now, without revealing his true identity, he must win his daughter’s (and her mother’s) trust, while secretly thwarting corrupt suitors, mafioso strongmen, and even a megalomaniacal billionaire who’s using his family to get to him.”

The microdrama also stars Chase Mattson, Katherine Gibson, and Marc Herrmann, all stars of a number of ReelShort projects.
