At WWE Money in the Bank, Liv Morgan captured the Women’s World Championship for the fourth time and is close to setting a record.

The October 10 edition of WWE Money in the Bank saw Stephanie Vaquer defend the Women’s World Championship in a Triple Threat match against Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch.

Vaquer would be unsuccessful in her quest to continue her title reign, with Morgan picking up the championship once again, inching closer to a WWE record of her own:

How did we get to the Triple Threat?

Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan had both set their sights on the Women’s World Championship, with The Man having been instrumental in helping La Primera capture the title from the Judgment Day member at a WWE Live house show in Santiago, Chile in September.

With the go-home episode of WWE Raw seeing all three cross paths again, it would be Vaquer who would demand a Triple Threat at Money in the Bank.

Liv Morgan comments after win

Unsurprisingly, Liv Morgan has reflected upon her latest title win in two posts on X, initially stating:

“4x Greatest Women’s World Champion of ALLLLLL time 🖕”

This was followed up by a post that suggests a correction to the world, thanks to her win, sharing:

“All is right in the world fr”

“Greatest Women’s World Champion” of all time?

She’s long believed it, and it’s something that Liv Morgan could very well achieve when it comes to the record books.

A four-time Women’s World Champion, there are only two stars who have held the title more often than Morgan: Becky Lynch (five reigns) and Charlotte Flair (seven reigns).

With a combined reign of 471 days, Morgan is close to becoming the longest-serving champion when it comes to combined days with the title. That accolade is currently held by Charlotte Flair with a recognized 478 combined days.

The Women’s World Championship title reign could be cut short

It’s likely that Morgan will surpass Flair as the champion with the most combined days, but there are challenges ahead.

Tiffany Stratton, herself a former WWE Women’s Champion, won the women’s Money in the Bank match, with the SmackDown star now able to challenge for a women’s championship.

Then there’s the impending return of Naomi, who was vacated the title in August of last year due to pregnancy. Reports have emerged that WWE is preparing for the absent star’s return.

It’s also unlikely that Vaquer won’t get a rematch for the title, while Becky Lynch is hardly going to settle for not attempting to become six-time Women’s World Champion, no doubt also eyeing up the possibility of matching and eclipsing Charlotte Flair’s record-setting seven reigns.

The Judgment Day dynamic, post Money in the Bank

Liv Morgan reclaimed the Women’s World Championship, while Roxanne Perez was unsuccessful in her women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

When it comes to Judgment Day, it feels like Liv Morgan is the one who matters, and there’s every possibility that the October 12 episode of WWE Raw will see the new champion suggest that her victory makes everything better.

It’s a situation that has been bubbling for some time now and, at some point, it’ll likely boil over, with Perez realizing that her time is best served beyond the faction.
