Planned match order for WWE Money in the Bank 2026 confirmed as men’s ladder match main events the show

WWE

The planned match order for tonight’s WWE Money in the Bank 2026 premium live event has emerged in the hours leading up to the show.

As has become the norm for the majority of WWE premium live events over the past couple of years, there’s a five match lineup tonight, with the show expected to run for about three and a half hours – based on the start time being 6pm ET, and the scheduled post-show start time being 9:30pm ET.

With two Money in the Bank ladder matches as well as the big World Heavyweight Championship match between Roman Reigns and LA Knight, there’s some natural intrigue from fans in which order those matches will take place.

The planned match order

WWE did actually confirm during last night’s episode of SmackDown that the Reigns vs Knight World Title match would be the opener for Money in the Bank.

A new report from PWInsider has revealed the inside information from backstage at Money in the Bank tonight as far as the planned order for the rest of the show.

According to the report, the current WWE Money in the Bank rundown is as follows:

Match 1 – Roman Reigns (c) vs. LA Knight – World Heavyweight Championship

Match 2 – Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match – Sol Ruca vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. Jacy Jayne vs. Lash Legend vs. Lola Vice

Match 3 – Oba Femi vs. Bronson Reed

Match 4 – Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan – Women’s World Championship

Main Event – Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match – CM Punk vs. Kevin Owens vs. Penta vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Bron Breakker vs. Trick Williams

Has WWE got it right?

With things like Money in the Bank, Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber and WarGames, it’s become the norm for the men’s editions of those matches to main event over the women’s matches.

Sometimes that’s justified but there are certainly other times that it feels like WWE is simply choosing the men over the women, and it would be nice for the women to get that distinction every so often.

Perhaps the bigger talking point is Reigns vs Knight going on first instead of being the main event itself.

Whether that’s the right call will depend on how it plays out, though the fact it isn’t the main event does seem to suggest tonight will not be LA Knight’s ultimate crowning moment.
