Tiffany Stratton has been crowned the winner of the 2026 women’s WWE Money in the Bank ladder match at tonight’s event in New Orleans.
The field for the match was made up of Sol Ruca, Tiffany Stratton, Roxanne Perez, Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne and Lash Legend.
Of those, Stratton is the only former Money in the Bank winner and former WWE Women’s Champion, though the story really was about the making of new young stars, as even Stratton – who has accomplished more than the rest of the field as far as championships – is only 27.
The match kicked off with a quite scary moment as Stratton dove off the ladder and crashed onto the floor at ringside as she ended up a bit short of where the rest of the women were waiting to catch her.
However, after a concerning few moments where she was being checked on and the match came to a halt, she did continue.
And later, it became clear why, as the end of the match came down to Stratton and Lash Legend on the top of the ladder, and it was Stratton who got the better of the exchange, eventually taking possession of the Money in the Bank briefcase and being crowned the winner.
Stratton previously won Money in the Bank in 2024, which led to her reigning as WWE Women’s Champion for the majority of 2025 after cashing in on Nia Jax.
The first failed women’s Money in the Bank cash-in?
The women’s Money in the Bank ladder match has been around since 2017, and to this point, there has never been a failed cash-in on the women’s side.
Carmella, Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Asuka, Nikki Cross, Liv Morgan, IYO SKY, Tiffany Stratton and Naomi all won the ladder match and went on to become champion.
That’s in contrast to the men’s side of thing, which has of course been around for 12 years longer, but has seen failed cash-ins from John Cena, Damien Sandow, Baron Corbin, Braun Strowman and Austin Theory.
The question now is, will this year’s women’s Money in the Bank winner – Tiffany Stratton – become the first woman to fail her cash-in attempt?
All things considered… probably not.
One of the most notable things about this year’s Money in the Bank event is the age of the women in the ladder match – the oldest being Jacy Jayne at 30, and the youngest being Roxanne Perez at 24.
At a time that WWE is under scrutiny for its main event scene being made up of 40+ year old men, it really seems like there’s been a conscious effort with the women this year to elevate younger talent.
That effort would go to waste if a young winner like Tiffanby Stratton doesn’t end up using her Money in the Bank win to become champion.
It doesn’t have to be right now – there’s another whole year for her to cash it in – but when that time does come, there’s really no excuse for it to not be a star making moment.
However, there is the argument that, out of everyone in the match tonight, she’s the only one that’s already won Money in the Bank, so if anyone was going to win and then fail the cash-in, it’d be her.
