Coming out of Sunday’s (August 22) NXT TakeOver 36 show, many fans were blown away by the NXT United Kingdom Championship match, which saw Ilja Dragunov dethrone WALTER.
The match received a lot of praise, from both fans and wrestlers alike, and it seems it impressed the NXT higher ups too.
Per PWInsider, following the match, there has been ‘a lot’ of discussion that WALTER needs to be on the US NXT on a more consistent basis going forward.
There has been no word on whether that will happen or not, but WALTER himself has recently doubled down that he doesn’t intend to move to the US full time.
