Adam Cole Set For WWE Appearance Day Before Contract Expiration

The Adam Cole saga has had it’s twist and turns since his loss to Kyle O’Reilly at NXT Takeover 36 on Sunday (August 22), with many under the assumption that it was the final date on his extended WWE contract.

The story was later amended, with Fightful confirming that Cole is under contract to WWE until Friday, August 27 before the extension runs out.

Interestingly, WWE will be presenting a showcase with Mattel on Amazon Live tomorrow (August 26) to showcase the future action figure lines, and Cole, alongside Johnny Gargano, is scheduled to be a part of the event, just a day before his contract with the company expires.

Gargano himself reacted to the announcement with a gif of Cole and himself, seemingly poking fun at Cole’s contract situation.

It was reported that many within WWE were under the assumption that Cole would have signed a new deal with the company by now, and that people in the company are now concerned that he may be departing the company.

In Cole’s absence from the brand, it is reported that Gargano will be serving as the main heel on the NXT brand going forward.
