Tonight’s NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day ended in dramatic fashion with Adam Cole turning heel by attacking Finn Balor and Kyle O’Reilly.
After beating Pete Dunne to retain the NXT Title, Balor was attacked by Dunne’s backup Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan and soon enough there was a three-on-one assault.
The Undisputed ERA (minus the injured Bobby Fish) came out to make the save, and O’Reilly made it clear he had respect for Balor.
They were all standing in the ring together, when Cole nailed Balor with a superkick.
O’Reilly then had a go at Cole, which led to him eating a superkick from the former NXT Champion too.
Balor and O’Reilly were left down in the ring, Cole left up the ramp, and Strong just stood there confused.
