Adam Copeland Reflects On AEW Dynamite Match With Christian Cage AEW

WWE Hall of Famer Adam Copeland has reflected on his I Quit Match with Christian Cage on AEW Dynamite from Toronto.

On the March 20 edition of AEW Dynamite, Adam Copeland defeated Christian Cage to win an I Quit Match and the TNT Championship.

This bout was 40 years in the making with the two former best friends facing in their hometown of Toronto.

On March 24, Adam Copeland took to Instagram to state that following his return at WWE Royal Rumble 2020, wrestling Christian Cage was the match he was always trying to get to. He wrote:

“About Dynamite on Wednesday. When I first came back to wrestling back at the 2020 Rumble this was the match I always wanted to get to.”

“Face to face with @christian4peeps in our hometown 40 years after we first met. @aew made that possible. And Toronto you came out in force to have fun. I hope you did.”

“Sure sounded like it and I’ll never forget it. Ever. As a kid this night was the kind of scenario I dreamed about in art class. If you dream hard enough, even if it takes 40 years, it can happen.”

“So without further ado….AND NEW TNT Champion!”

Since his win on Dynamite, Copeland has officially announced the return of “Cope Open” where he will have an open challenge for the TNT Title starting next Saturday, March 30 on AEW Collision.

Copeland wasn’t the only new champion crowned on the March 20 episode of AEW Dynamite, as Kazuchika Okada defeated Eddie Kingston to become the new AEW Continental Champion.

The trainer of both Copeland and Christian commented on their AEW Dynamite clash, which you can read at this link.
