AEW All In Texas Weekend Planned Championship Match Revealed

AEW All In Texas Weekend Planned Championship Match Revealed AEW

A championship match is being planned for AEW All In Texas weekend that would see the ROH Women’s World title on the line.

AEW All In Texas takes place on July 12 with three title matches set to take place at the Globe Life Field stadium.

Already confirmed for the show are Toni Storm vs Mercedes Mone for the AEW Women’s World Championship, Jon Moxley vs. Adam Page for the World Championship and a Winner Takes All unification match between Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega to crown the inaugural AEW Unified Champion.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, we could be seeing another championship match, featuring the ROH Women’s World title.

Dave Meltzer revealed that the current plan is for Athena to put her championship on the line against Thunder Rosa, noting:

“That is the plan, yeah.”

Meltzer later took to Twitter to clarify that he just meant that the match would take place that weekend, writing:

“That weekend, not necessarily that show. The 7/11 show most likely.”

Athena previously noted that she’d be “super bummed out” if she didn’t wrestle at All In Texas, which will emanate from her home state.

There are no details on the match at the time of writing, although Thunder Rosa has previously issued a hair vs. hair challenge to her “nemesis Britt Baker”.

Athena appeared in the AEW ring on the June 21 episode of Collision, which saw the ROH Women’s World Champion team with Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford & Thekla to defeat Queen Aminata, TayJay (Tay Melo & Anna Jay) and Thunder Rosa.
