Current Champion Thanks AEW’s Tony Khan After Crossover Show AEW

An AEW star has commented on an recent crossover show, thanking Tony Khan for the opportunity to showcase their own company.

With it previously announced that ROH Global Wars would be crossing over with Metroplex Wrestling, this event aired as part of the February 5 ROH Honor Club broadcast

With Metroplex Wrestling owned by current ROH Women’s World Champion Athena, the star has shared her thoughts following the show.

Revealing a sense of both pride and anger, the ROH Women’s Champion would praise the Metroplex trainees and thank Tony Khan in a post on Twitter, reading:

I have never been more proud and angry at the same time, but extremely thankful to be able to provide a platform that people believe in.

I train with these guys and gals every week, as their Coach and #MinionOverlord I see their passion and drive to succeed, and I am privileged to be a part of their journey.

So please go follow them and watch them grow as I have.

The February 5 show saw Deonna Purrazzo, Hyan & Maya World defeat Athena, Billie Starkz and Diamante.

The MPX Championship also changed hands on the show, with JD Griffey defeating Delynn Cavens to win the gold.

ROH Global Wars will also crossover with Maple Leaf Wrestling in March, as previously reported.
