Tony Khan Announces Opponent For Wardlow TNT Championship Match

Tony Khan has just made one AEW champ’s open challenge official by naming an opponent for AEW Dynamite!

After a period of being missing from singles action, one AEW Champion has issued an open challenge for AEW Dynamite.

Wardlow tweeting:

“I dare someone to challenge me for the TNT title this Wednesday at the anniversary show. Someone remotely close to my level. Just show up, I’ll be waiting @TonyKhan @AEW #AEWDynamite #IDareYou”

With Khan tweeting shortly thereafter the confirmation of the match to come for Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, writing:

“This Wednesday, October 5 Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite 3 Year Anniversary Show LIVE on @TBSNetwork 8pm ET/7pm CT TNT Championship Open Challenge #MrMayhem @RealWardlow vs #TheMachine @briancagegmsi

“See you all on Wednesday night to celebrate 3 great years of #AEWDynamite!”

Wardlow has recently seen a variety of team action as he joined FTR for a Trios match at AEW All Out and subsequently, formed a tag team with Samoa Joe for AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.

Brian Cage has been largely absent from AEW’s televised product of late however he had reportedly extended with AEW earlier this year.
