AEW Star Criticizes Billie Eilish Body Shaming Rant

AEW Star Criticizes Billie Eilish Body Shaming Rant Victoria Stevens for Variety

AEW’s Dax Harwood has taken issue with a recent statement by the singer Billie Eilish on the subject of body image.

In a recent interview with Variety, Eilish tackled the subject of body image, sexualization and public perception.

As Variety points out, she then launches into a “good old-fashioned rant” about double standards, saying:

“Nobody ever says a thing about men’s bodies.

“If you’re muscular, cool. If you’re not, cool. If you’re rail thin, cool. If you have a dad bod, cool. If you’re pudgy, love it!

“Everybody’s happy with it. You know why? Because girls are nice. They don’t give a f**k because we see people for who they are!”

This comment, tweeted by Variety, would catch the attention of Dax Harwood of FTR fame, who replied:

“Whoosh, Billie, take a look at my mentions. I think you’ll be very surprised.”

In response, a number of replies to his Tweet would be supportive of Harwood and his appearance.

Harwood is far from the only male wrestler to face body shaming comments, with Eddie Kingston having addressed the subject in June 2022.

Adam Cole and Chris Jericho have both been the subject of such comments over their appearance, too.

This is in addition to the wealth of female wrestlers who have spoken out on the topic over recent years.

Harwood will be on the November 18 episode of AEW Collision, although his match graphic had one too many Ds in it.
