AEW has tagged next week’s Dynamite as Winter is Coming. Winter may be coming, but a terrific show appears to be coming our way next week.
We already knew Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega would do battle over the AEW World Championship on the show. Tonight, Moxley delivered a message and a promo that cleared up why they dubbed it Winter is Coming. He told Kenny Omega “if he is going to take a shot at the king, he better not miss.”
The line was something you’d hear in Game of Thrones. Moxley sneak attacked Omega during Omega’s entrance. This after Moxley was laid out last week and seems to be assuming it was Omega.
While this will be the biggest match, AEW announced another huge match on tonight’s show. The AEW Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal will take place on the show. They did not announce who would be in the match.

One match who we know who the competitors will be is Cody Rhodes and Darby Allin vs. Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs. This match got even more personal this week when Taz choked out Cody.
We’re also getting Chris Jericho vs. Kaz. These two battled after their tag match tonight and Kaz took a cheap shot at MJF, who interfered in the match earlier.
Also announced is a women’s match. Britt Baker will be wrestling Layla Hirsch. This seems like a match destined to be about a pre or post-match angle. Baker attacked Thunder Rosa last week and Rosa will be looking for revenge.
