Darby Allin picked up a huge victory on the first AEW Dynamite of 2023, capturing the TNT Championship for the second time in his career.
Darby defeated Samoa Joe in the show’s main event to end the ‘King of Television’s run with the title.
In a short time, Darby has already defended the title three times, defeating Mike Bennett and Juice Robinson on Rampage, and Kushida on this week’s Dynamite.
It appears as though there is no rest for Darby during this reign, as he is set to defend the belt yet again on next week’s Dynamite.
Darby is set to defend the title against Buddy Matthews of the House of Black.
Here is the announced line up for the show:
TNT Championship – Darby Allin (c) vs. Buddy Matthews
Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara vs. Ricky Starks and Action Andretti
Toni Storm vs. Britt Baker vs. Ruby Soho
Bryan Danielson vs. Brian Cage
Jack Perry and Hook vs. Ethan Page and Matt Hardy
