An update has emerged on QT Marshall in AEW ahead of Marshall officially leaving the promotion in the new year.
Marshall shared a statement in November confirming that he’s preparing for his AEW exit, stating that he has resigned from AEW and will have fulfilled all obligations by the end of 2023.
Fightful Select has now provided an update on Marshall’s standing within the company, reporting that even though his contract expires on January 1, 2024, he’s effectively already finished up with AEW.
Marshall reportedly gave his notice months ago, and had signed a short-term extension to keep him with the company through to the end of 2023.
The report noted that AEW sources have confirmed that Marshall isn’t a presence backstage, and hasn’t been at AEW shows for weeks.
Marshall joined AEW in 2019 as a wrestler and an associate producer, with Marshall frequently wrestling for the promotion.
He last wrestled for AEW in a dark match ahead of the October 25 edition of Dynamite, with his last TV match for the promotion saw him defeat Gravity to retain his AAA Latin America Title at August’s Rampage Fyter Fest show.
