AEW EVPs the Young Bucks took to the ring to make an announcement on AEW Dynamite including a storyline suspension and firing.
On tonight’s AEW Dynamite, EVPs Nicholas and Matthew Jackson announced that they had a big announcement… coming later in the show in an in-ring segment – clearly making mockery of Tony Khan’s tendency to ‘announce announcements’.
When the segment arrived, it turned out to be a highly notable one as it not only featured the arrival of Kazuchika Okada but also featured some more news.
The Young Bucks announced that due to his assault on two referees at Revolution, Hangman Adam Page was ‘suspended indefinitely from The Elite’.
Furthermore, questioning the on-going absence of Kenny Omega (who is in real life, recovering from surgery) and noting that he had simply disappeared, wasn’t making his dates as scheduled, the Bucks claimed Kenny Omega deserved a harsher punishment.
The Jacksons then announced that Kenny Omega was ‘fired from The Elite’.
Unlike the Bucks’ antics on the show, there was a legitimate suspension for an AEW star this week – click here to find out more.
Elsewhere in the segment they would also reveal that Kazuchika Okada had joined The Elite.
In the segment, Eddie Kingston had come out to oppose the EVPs tyrannical actions before being attacked by Okada, seemingly setting up a feud for the AEW Continental Crown Championship, and cementing Okada as the newest member of The Elite.
