An update has emerged on the situation surrounding Kevin Kelly, who has reportedly been fired from AEW.
With it previously noticed that the commentator had been removed from the AEW official roster page, Kelly also missed Thursday night’s (March 7) Collision taping, fuelling speculation that he has finished up with AEW.
Per PWTorch, Kelly has been fired by AEW. The report noted that Kelly’s posts on social media last week cost him his job.
Kelly had posted the following tweets which received a big reaction online:
But the idea of what I bring to the table is lost there because Ian libeled me. So I sit on the bench, valued by my peers, waiting to get my number called.
I keep asking why but get pushed aside. It’s ok because there is no one better than me. Ask the ones that know and they’ll tell you.
Kelly replied to several Twitter users questioning him about those comments, seemingly doubling down on his stance.
We’ll continue to keep you posted. Kelly and AEW haven’t publicly announced the departure at the time of writing other than his removal from the roster page.
