An AEW star’s first match back with the promotion after over six months away from TV has now been confirmed.
AEW has now announced that former Women’s Champion Riho will face off against Ruby Soho in singles action on Wednesday’s (December 13) edition of Dynamite.
Taking to Twitter, AEW shared the following preview for the bout:
After being taken out by the #Outcasts 4/12/13 in Milwaukee, former #AEW Women’s Champ #RIHO returns to the ring @ #WinterIsComing to face @RealRubySoho!
This will be Riho’s first match for the promotion since teaming with Abadon, Maki Itoh to defeat Emi Sakura, Marina Shafir & Nyla Rose in a dark match ahead of the June 14 edition of Dynamite.
Riho’s last televised AEW match saw her and Skye Blue lose to Toni Storm and her upcoming opponent Ruby Soho on the April 12 show.
The inaugural Women’s Champion returned on the December 6 Dynamite episode, interrupting current champion Toni Storm, who was celebrating her win over Skye Blue.
Several other matches have been confirmed for the show, including two Continental Classic Gold League tournament bouts.
