The date and location of the third annual AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view event has reportedly been revealed.
All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling have come together to produce the Forbidden Door pay-per-view event for two straight years.
The inaugural edition of the event was held in the United Center in Chicago, and was headlined by Jon Moxley facing off against Hiroshi Tanahashi to crown the interim AEW World Champion.
Last year’s event, emanating from the ScotiaBank Arena in Toronto, saw the first time ever dream match main event between Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada.
In an update from Andrew Zarian, this year’s Forbidden Door event is set to take place in June, and will be held in Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City.
Arthur Ashe Stadium has served as the home for the AEW Grand Slam special event since 2021, which will no longer be the case this year.
AEW Grand Slam will instead take place at Louis Armstrong Arena, on the same campus as Arthur Ashe Stadium.
