WWE/AEW
AEW is reportedly interested in signing a former WWE ID talent after their WWE ID contract expired last month.
Last month, a number of WWE ID contracts expired, with numerous talents announcing they were no longer under a WWE ID deal.
Among those was Zayda Steel, who had been making regular appearances on WWE Evolve as a member of the Vanity Project stable alongside WWE Evolve Men’s Champion Jackson Drake, Swipe Right and Bryce Donovan.
However, last month Zayda announced that she had chosen not to renew her WWE ID contract, making her no longer affiliated with the promotion.
In an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), AEW made contact with Steel back in October around the time that her WWE ID contract had ended.
Zayda has yet to make an appearance on AEW television, but her WWE ID deal expiring makes her able to sign wherever she wishes.
Zayda’s last match under the WWE ID banner aired on the October 22 episode of WWE Evolve, where she was defeated by Thea Hail in a match taped prior to her contract expiration.
