With AEW’s first official show, Double or Nothing, in just three weeks, the promotion has taken to using independent shows to promote some of their matches for the event.
This was the case on Friday night, when Kenny Omega turned up at a Southern Honor Wrestling show to attack his opponent for the May 25th show, Chris Jericho.

Double or Nothing will not be the first time Kenny Omega and the former WWE star square off, with the pair doing battle once before in No DQ match for Omega’s IWGP United States Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 12 in January 2018.
Omega and Jericho weren’t the only AEW stars to invade Southern Honor Wrestling on Friday night. Cody Rhodes also showed up in Georgia to reveal that Dustin Thomas, the man who wrestles with no legs, would be taking part in Over Budget Battle Royal at Double or Nothing.
This comes after Chris Jericho challenged Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Champion to a match on June, 9.
