AEW Releases Jay Briscoe Memorial Shirt With Proceeds Going To The Pugh Family AEW

AEW has released a t-shirt commemorating the life of late Ring of Honor wrestler Jay Briscoe, the proceeds of which will go to his family.

Briscoe was one half of Ring of Honor tag team the Briscoes, alongside his brother Mark.

The brothers were with the company for two decades, where they served as record-setting 13-time ROH World Tag Team Champions.

Jay was also a two-time ROH World Champion, defeating Kevin Steen (now Kevin Owens) for the belt in 2013, and Michael Elgin in 2014.

The Briscoes had a series of high profile matches throughout 2022 against AEW tag team FTR, finally winning the ROH Tag Team Championship from them at ROH Final Battle 2022 on December 10.

Briscoe was killed in a car accident on January 17, at the age of 38.

His two daughters were also the car, and both sustained severe injuries.

Though the Briscoes did not actually ever wrestle for AEW itself, Ring of Honor is currently owned by AEW CEO Tony Khan.

Now AEW has released a memorial shirt to honor the former champion’s passing, announcing via its official Twitter account:

“100% of the proceeds from the “Reach For The Sky” shirt will go to benefit the family of Jamin Pugh, known professionally as Jay Briscoe.”

The shirt costs $24.99, and can be purchased from ShopAEW.com.
