AEW Name Reveals Recent Health Emergency AEW

AEW commentator Jim Ross has opened up about a recent health scare that saw him take a precautionary trip to the emergency room.

The WWE Hall of Famer commentated the main event on the debut episode of AEW Collision but had suffered a fall in the hours before the show.

With his voice sounded off on the June 17 show, Ross announced he would be stepping away from announcing duties to recover.

In October 2021, Ross would reveal that he had skin cancer and would undergo treatment for that, stating he was cancer free in December of that year.

He has recently spoken about wound management as part of the healing process, also revealing his concerns over a relapse.

On the recent episode of Grilling JR, Ross opened up about his recent trip to the emergency room, saying:

“I had to go to the emergency room this morning because I was concerned that the redness in my wounded leg was moving, and I’ve been warned about that, that you don’t want to let this thing get out of control.

“You see it moving past a certain spot on your leg, you need to go to the emergency room right away to have them look at it.”

Ross would go on to reveal the outcome of the visit along with the importance of continuing to monitor his health, adding:

“I did, and they looked at it, and they did nothing. They didn’t need anything.

“They said, ‘You’re fine. It’s good that you’re paying attention, but if it continues to move in a northern direction, you need to come back to see us.”

In the podcast, JR would also reiterate his hopes that he would be ready to return to commentary for AEW All In on August 27 in London, England.

Ross has recently revealed that he doesn’t have much time left on his AEW contract but hopes to continue working for the company.
