Mark Briscoe Reacts To WrestleMania 39 Match

Ring of Honor’s Mark Briscoe has reacted to a match that took place at WWE WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles on April 1 2023.

Following the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships match that closed night one of the event, Kevin Owens thanked Mark and Jay Briscoe, noting that the world had recently lost Jay, and hoped he and Sami Zayn had made them both proud with their match against The Usos.

Mark Briscoe would respond to the match, which saw Zayn and Owens, victorious on Twitter, writing:

“Was on the red eye last night.. @SamiZayn @FightOwensFight just watched the match..tag team action at its finest!! Congrats my brothers LOVE YALL

“@WWEUsos …can’t wait to do it on the other side! ✊🏽 #RESPECT”

Jamin Pugh (Jay Briscoe) passed away in January 2023 at the age of 38.

Following their victory at WrestleMania 39, it was revealed that Kevin Owens is the sixteenth “modern” WWE Grand Slam Champion and the “first to accomplish the feat with the Universal Title as his world championship.”

Mark Briscoe is a former thirteen-time ROH World Tag Team Champion and was inducted into the 2022 ROH Hall of Fame with Jay Briscoe.
